Reading to my Friend.

I am reading a poem to my friend.  I am learning to read and it is tricky for me because I don't know all of the words yet.  My brother helps me at home and Mrs Kerr helps me at school.

Kelly Sports.

We are learning to throw and catch on Tuesday mornings at Kelly Sports, 

with Coach Cameron.

Who Am I?

We had to tell about ourselves.  I had to think about me and what I look like.  Then write down the words and they are the clues.  We put them into a book so that other people can read them.  They have to think about what person it might be.  It is mystery to solve!!

Mrs Kerr helped me to write this.

Telling the Time.

At Maths time I was learning to tell the time on a clock or a watch or a phone or on the ipad.   On this clock here, the big hand is on the 12, and the little hand is on the 4.  This means it is 4 o'clock.  If I change the little hand and it points to 5 then it would 5 o'clock.  It is tricky to learn the time. 

Reading Eggs.

I am just starting my Reading eggs.  Next term I will do lots of reading eggs at school.  I will do some at home as well and then I will be great.  In the picture, I can click on the word - am.  It is hard for me.

Year 1 Skipping Day.

Here I am jumping over the long rope on our skipping day.  I was really good at this!!

Writing My Letters.

I am matching the big letters and the small letters.  It was easy for me because I am learning them with Mrs Kerr and my sister.  I like my blue stripe the best.

Origami Art.

On Friday the 3rd of August, some Japanese homestay students visited us from Botany College.  We chatted to them first, took them for a tour around our school, and then they helped us to fold some Origami.  My buddy helped me to make two birds called cranes.

My Shape Art.

We are learning about shapes.  I made a rocket ship and I used an oval and some rectangles.  It was tricky because the cutting was tricky.  Next time I would make another picture of my house.

Fun and Fitness.

We have been working on our fitness this term and we have been trying some new activities.

We are outside blowing bubbles.  I can see big bubbles and I can see little bubbles.

Space Writing.

We have been learning about the planets and the stars.  I wrote a story about the stars and Mrs Kerr imported my words onto this star shape.  My star looks cool.
